Let’s talk about the train, Shinkansen Hayabusa E5

The Shinkansen Hayabusa E5 Series is the new generation of Shinkansen trains, the sum of all technological advancements in operational performance, reliability, environmental considerations, and passenger comfort. The trains have operated at a speed of 320 km/h since March 16, 2013. The interior facilities feature universal design, including a large, renovated restroom that is accessible to electric mobility scooters, as well as a multipurpose room. In response to requests from female passengers, there are women-only spaces such as women’s lavatories and powder rooms. Other innovative features include large full-colour LED information displays as well as security cameras inside the cars and in the areas at both ends of the vehicles.

Similar to the E5 series, the H5 series can reach a maximum speed of 320 km/h (199 mph). However, this is only possible on the Hokkaido Shinkansen at 260 km/h (162 mph) and on the dual-gauge track that runs through the underwater Seikan Tunnel, which connects Hokkaido with mainland Honshu, at 160 km/h (99 mph).

With connections to all the major cities and prefectures, from Tokyo all the way up in northern Shin-Aomori, the Shinkansen connects the people of Japan from south to north. Just imagine being able to travel at incredible speed, covering land and distance so quickly that it almost feels surreal.

It’s a product that connects our hearts to the desire for speed. An iconic train from a culturally rich and beautiful country. With that being said, it is a super sexy product and one of the most loved by the people of Japan and all over the world.

Life is enjoy

The fastest journey on land has a very exciting opportunity to offer.

“Leisure comes with speed.”

GranClass Interior

Luxurious seats and service

The Gran Class on the Shinkansen E5 Series is Japan’s most luxurious high-speed train travel experience. It’s equivalent to first-class or private jet standards and is only available on select routes like the Tohoku Shinkansen, which runs between Tokyo and Shin-Aomori.

GranClass on the E5 Series blends quiet luxury, space, and attentive service. It’s not just transportation; it’s a premium travel experience, akin to flying first class — but on rails.

Being able to enjoy luxury at a breakneck speed is a unique thrill in and of itself. The amenities on board are intended to improve the whole experience, and the seating arrangement and comfort make it pleasant and tranquil.

Seat Layout: 2+1 configuration, spacious reclining seats similar to business class on airlines make it one of the most luxurious trains, although there are other trains and routes in Japan which have a more tailored journey itinerary for a more elevated experience, but they are not traveling at high speeds.

FOOD

When travelling around beautiful Japan, the high-end meal box (bento) served with seasonal ingredients (Note: Only on some routes now; many offer snacks instead) is a dream come true with free drinks, including alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, and sake).

FOOD SYSTEM

Emotional growth.

Food, Japanese food has a quiet power to stir the heart, not just through taste, but through its delicate balance, beauty, and soulfulness. Whether it’s the comforting warmth of miso soup, the gentle simplicity of freshly made sushi, or the nostalgic aroma of a home-style donburi, every dish tells a story of care and harmony. With each bite, we’re invited to slow down, to feel present, and to appreciate the subtle details — a philosophy deeply rooted in Japanese culture. In this way, Japanese cuisine does more than nourish the body; it quietly heals and transforms the heart.

A Japanese bento box is more than just a meal — it’s a heartfelt expression of care, tradition, and aesthetic harmony. Each compartment is thoughtfully arranged with colourful, seasonal ingredients that balance flavour, texture, and nutrition.

The beauty of things in Japanese logic lies in subtlety, impermanence, and the quiet elegance of simplicity. Japanese beauty isn’t loud or showy; it speaks through restraint, balance, and grace. It finds meaning in space, silence, and fleeting moments — reminding us that beauty isn’t just what we see, but what we feelimagine, and cherish in the silence between forms. Similarly, we can notice these details in food, products, and lifestyle.

Andddd…

Own food.

Tamago Kake Gohan (卵かけご飯), or Japanese raw egg on rice, is the epitome of humble comfort — a dish so simple yet emotionally rich. It involves cracking a fresh, high-quality raw egg over a steaming bowl of hot white rice, then mixing it with a splash of soy sauce. The result is a creamy, silky texture that wraps each grain in warmth and umami. It’s not just breakfast; it’s a moment of quiet joy, often tied to childhood memories and everyday life in Japan. This dish reflects the Japanese reverence for pure ingredients and the art of making the ordinary feel profound.

A person who has grown up in Japan surrounded by amazing and beautiful trains would feel really nostalgic having a Tamago Kake Gohan on his/her way to visit family and friends around Japan.

Design & Creation

The design and creation of the Shinkansen — Japan’s iconic bullet train — is a fusion of engineering brilliance, futuristic vision, and cultural aesthetics.

Each generation since has pushed boundaries — from the aerodynamic E5 Series with its long, tapered “duck-bill” nose to reduce tunnel boom, to the ALFA-X, which experiments with speeds beyond 360 km/h. But beyond performance, Shinkansen design reflects a deep commitment to safety, comfort, and environmental harmony. Interiors are crafted with ergonomic precision, noise levels are minimised, and even the visual lines of the train are made to evoke speed, calm, and elegance.

The creation process involves collaboration between industrial designers, engineers, aerodynamic experts, and even psychologists, to ensure that passengers feel relaxed at 300 km/h. The Shinkansen isn’t just a train; it’s a moving symbol of Japanese ingenuity, discipline, and the pursuit of beauty through technology.

For it to be the fastest and the sexiest-looking train, the collaboration between Hitachi Rail and Kawasaki Heavy Industries has shaped today’s world travel infrastructure and created a pathway towards a better future.

The nose of the E5 extends to almost 15 metres (49 feet) — surpassing the length of most vehicles — and is referred to as the “duck-bill” or “kingfisher nose” because of its similarity to the elongated, slender beak of the bird.

This shape is designed to reduce the “tunnel boom”, a loud thud that occurs when trains enter tunnels at high speeds. It is not just for show. By gently eliminating air, the nose lowers pressure waves and creates a quiet, smooth entry.

Therefore, the JRL has done a wonderful job of designing the rail line and establishing the routes to connect all of the major cities. keeping the noses of the train, especially the tunnel boom, in control, making sure all the residential areas around the train don’t experience unpleasant loud noises from the super-fast, super sexy, and fastest train in the world zooming past their area.

Experience all the beautiful Japan’s weather and seasons, reflecting the country’s breathtakingly varied scenery. With four distinct seasons, each with its own emotional and cultural flavour, the country stretches from sunny Okinawa in the south to cold Hokkaido in the north.

The manufacturer

A world-class train manufactured by leading global industries associated with heavy engineering, the plans to introduce this product outside of Japan have officially begun. There are many interested countries already setting up architecture plans around the cities.

Colour that highlights.

The upper body is “Tokiwa” green, the lower body is “Hiun” white, and the stripe is “Hayate” pink, according to Wikipedia

Unfortunately, passengers on the Shinkansen E5 are not able to see the cockpit. Because of the long-nose design (15 metres), which is designed for speed and noise reduction, end cars do not have observation windows. The E5 does not feature partial views, but some other Shinkansen types (such as the E6 and some limited express trains) might.

Driver’s seat interior

Well, just like the simplicity and straightforwardness of the external design, the driver’s cab reflects the same story. The main windscreen and side windows are positioned to give the driver a clear view of upcoming tunnels, bridges, and stations on the route. Looks quite claustrophobic, but with training and practice, we believe the drivers must be enjoying the ride!

SO AFTER ALL OF THE EXCITING DETAILS, IS THIS PRODUCT SEXY OR…

THERE IS NO OR

THIS BULLET TRAIN IS ONE OF THE MOST SEXIEST TRAINS OUT THERE IN THE WORLD.
